Today we performed a safe experiment with our red wiggler worms. Each student received a paper plate, damp paper towel and a dark coloured piece of paper. Once they received their worm, students were asked to observe how their worm moved and eventually where they stopped moving on the plate. The majority of our worm friends either burrowed themselves under the dark coloured paper or right under the damp paper towel.  We had a class discussion on the reasons why the worm would settle in these places. Ask your child why they thought so?

Students will be partnering up later this week to design a safe experiment to perform with their worms. Stay tuned for more details on experiment topics.
