Room 4 students have been invited to participate in the Art/Math Contest hosted by Willowpark School. This art project incorporates concepts connected to both Math and Science. The date of submission is February 14th so we have LOTS of time to teach, plan and prepare.
Please take a look at the learning criteria the students will be working with during this task,

What story does your artwork tell to the audience? Does your artwork tell a story?
Include shapes showing the following fractions:
1/2 , 1/4 , 1/3
Include 2 triangles for each of the lists:
a.right angle triangle, obtuse triangle, acute triangle
b.equilateral triangle, isosceles triangle, scalene triangle
(these shapes can be repeated many times, you
can also alter the size of these triangles)
Include 3 of the following quadrilaterals:
squares, rectangles, parallelogram, trapezoid, rhombus
(these shapes can be repeated many times, you
can also alter the size of these triangles)
Does your artwork show a connection to Kandinsky abstract artwork?
Does your artwork show creativity and imagination?
Have you included EXTRA details (possibly not included above)?
Have you gone above and beyond expectations?
