During our EYE Opener this morning, students were introduced to solving for the unknown!!! We worked through many examples together using Solve Me Puzzles website and then students had the chance to work with a partner on solving these equations using the online site. Check out the website when you can.

During our Tuesday Lumio time, we learned more about how to show kindness at home, school, and to ourselves. We also had the chance to do an online word search with kindness action words and create a short message, with images, for someone that needed an extra dose of kindness. 

 This is our second week of gymnastics and students are working on flexibility and strength through individual and partner balances. Check out some examples of student work...

This week is all about KINDNESS! We had a whole school virtual assembly to kick off Kindness Week. We learned about the school kindness chain we are working to create, the kindness tree and what kindness SOUNDS like. 

Room 4 will also be working on a classroom kindness tree. A few students have been working on a large kindness tree for the classroom. Students will be learning leaves for Kindness to Self, Others and this Place. We are looking to make our tree bushy and full of leaves. 

Room 4 had an amazing time at Heritage Park yesterday. We learned about the railway of the past, how settlers and new immigrants established a community as well as how to make butter, quilts, and wooden tools. It was quite the jam packed day of learning. Check out some of our learning.
